The Constitutional and Law Reform Commission (CLRC) is proud to announce the reappointment of its Secretary Dr. Mange Matui for a second term this year for the next four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Matui signed his employment contract before the Governor General, Grand Chief Sir Bob, Dadae on June 25, 2024 following his appointment on January 24, 2024, after the conclusion of the reappointment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a letter of congratulations, Ms. Taies Sansan, Secretary for the Department of Personnel Management, commended Dr. Matui, stating, \u201cYour reappointment reflects the Government\u2019s utmost trust in your capabilities to steer the CLRC forward, ensuring the fulfillment of its critical roles and responsibilities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a gathering with staff and management, Secretary Matui expressed profound gratitude for the trust and confidence bestowed by the government in his leadership for a pivotal constitutional office such as CLRC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Matui reaffirmed his dedication to the Commission\u2019s objectives, pledging to continue addressing the evolving needs of the people, the government, and the state as far as law reform was concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Matui extended a heartfelt thank you to his management team and staff, whose support over the past four years has been instrumental to the successes leading to his reappointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEach of you has played a role in achieving our major goals, contributing to the successful outcomes of our initiatives. Your efforts have been instrumental in our journey thus far.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

He also acknowledged the foundational work of his predecessors, whose efforts have positioned the CLRC in good stead as a cornerstone institution for law reform work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is essential to remember that our present circumstances were shaped by our predecessors,\u201d Secretary Matui reminded the staff. \u201cNow, we have the unique opportunity to craft our own future for both ourselves and the CLRC.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking ahead, Dr. Matui emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on the interests of our key stakeholders, ensuring that the CLRC\u2019s allegiance remains steadfast while also fulfilling its obligations to staff\u2019s needs and welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the current corporate plan for 2020-2024 approaches its conclusion, Secretary Matui said the timing was also right for the development of a new strategic plan that will guide the CLRC for the next four years. This roadmap will be pivotal in steering the staff and the organization towards a prosperous future as well as filling its mandate to the Government and the people of PNG, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This endeavor will require bold and decisive actions to foster the progress and growth of the organization, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Matui said he has reached the zenith of his academic and professional career, and would one day leave the organization but he envisions that his efforts and that of the staff for now must ensure continued growth and success.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
